What is better than hot babes on a hot Bali beach? A fresh and cold coconut water, of course!
A typical whole fruit coconut on the beach costs IDR 30,000. The same fruit at a restaurant or bar may be priced 30,000 to 70,000 a piece. Fresh coconut fruits sold in Indonesia are usually large enough for two people. Sounds like a romantic sunset date, eh?
Coconut water are also sold in glass. A street coconut water stall sells a glass for IDR 5,000. while restaurant pricing ranges about 20,000 to 40,000 a glass.
Especially for coconut water in a glass, they may add creamer so you should ask them not to add creamer or extra sugar if you want pure coconut water.
If you are into alcoholic beverages, you could also try coconut vodka sold at live music bars across Double Six beach. I personally don’t really like it since it has heavier coconut flesh taste. Coconut water on the other hand, has very light taste that anything added into it will probably have more dominant taste. It is still an option you coult try though.
Speaking about the light taste of coconut water, you could also get a slice of lime and squeeze it into your coconut water for a more refreshing taste!
Lime (jeruk nipis in Indonesian) is easily found at many restaurants in Bali, typically provided with soups. If you go to a beach where they usually just sell coconut and bottled drinks as is, you could buy one at nearby supermarket.
